WHY CRETE

Crete is the southernmost tip of Europe and one of the most beautiful islands in the world, really the ideal place for someone to enjoy the magic of sailing. During the whole year there is a continuous windy activity from all divisions, while mild temperatures even in winter, allow the sailors to focus on their sails. The sea and the sky never lose their blue color and quiet bays can allow a quick swimming, after an active sailing even in January!

In summer, sailing excursions to Cretan gulfs and nearby islands combined with swimming, snorkeling and fishing, are a magic experience. The small and quiet ports, offer many possibilities for anchorage exercise with every weather and by night the lively towns of Crete are waiting for you to enjoy your drink and the world famous Cretan traditional diet!

1st SATURDAY 19:00-20:30 15:00-19:00 Acquaintance with the boat, safety briefing.
2nd SUNDAY  09:00 - 11:00 11:00 - 18:00 Sailing outside from Heraklion port
3rd MONDAY 10:30-12:30 13:00 - 18:30 Sailing to Dia island
4th TUESDAY 9:00 - 10:30 10:30 - 15:00 Mooring - Anchorage in the fishing port of Pantanassa.
4th TUESDAY 15:00-18:00 18:00 – 21:00 Theory with lunch and coffee in a fish tavern - Night sailing back to Heraklion Port
5th WEDNESDAY 9:00 - 11:30 11:30 - 18:00 Sailing to Dia island
6th THURSDAY* 9:00 - 11:00 11:00 – 18:00 Departure for Bali’s port, anchorage at Agia Pelagia bay
7th FRIDAY*  - 10:00 – 18:00 Depature to Heraklion port 
8th SATURDAY - 10:00 Disembarkation
8th SATURDAY  - 11:00 – 14:00 License Exams

 * If circumstances allow, there is a possibility that the trip will take place for three days, instead of two, starting on the 5th Day, Wednesday.

 

NOTES

  1. We are able to arrange pick up transfer from the airport, in case you arrive on the 1st Day, Saturday between  8:00 – 13:00.
  2. During all practice lessons, there will be a break of 30 minutes for food and relaxation.
  3. The program could be modified depending on the period, weather conditions, as well as the wishes of the participants.

PRICES

During March and April:

The price is 1.562€ per person and you stay in your own cabin.
In case you are a part of two people and you would like to share the same cabin, a discount will apply and the price will be set to 1.116€ per person.

 

During May:

The price is 1.730€ per person and you stay in your own cabin.
In case you are a part of two people and you would like to share the same cabin, a discount will apply and the price will be set to 1.236€ per person.

 

*Regardless the period, the cost for the Offshore Sailing license package (books, exams, license) is 400€ per person. (not included on the above mentioned prices)..

 

CONDITIONS TO ATTENT OUR LESSONS?

The following contions are required to attent our lessons:

  • Swimming capacity
  • Completing 18 years of age
  • Basic sailing clothing (jacket, trousers, shoes)
